"The deep parts of my life pour onward,
as if the river shores were opening out.
It seems that things are more like me now,
that I can see farther into paintings.
I feel closer to what language can't reach.
With my senses, as with birds,
I climb into the windy heaven, out of the oak,
in the ponds broken off from the sky
my falling sinks, as if standing on fishes. "

One of the most rewarding parts of my ministry is guiding people at times of loss. I help families to craft memorial services that are highly personal, individual and meaningful. I offer bereaved people my guidance, counseling support and diverse resources and together we choose every word and song carefully to reflect the life of the loved one being honored. In this way, a celebration of life truly is possible and the memorial becomes a deeply meaningful and healing experience for all who participate and witness it.
I often think of you and what you do. It's incredibly powerful work and I hope you know how massive your impact was on our family. Your love and support was something that will stay with me forever. Your humanity and soul are so true and was a huge factor in my acceptance of the whole process of life...

Dear Katherine, you have an incredible gift from God that very few people have and the ability to share that gift with others, I knew this the very first time you met with Drew. Thank you so very much for officiating his memorial and for being in my life – you have no idea how much you have helped me through the most difficult times of my life.
Maria
A heartfelt thank you, Katherine for officiating at B.’s service. You made it truly beautiful and meaningful.
