I had a conversation with this tree. Yes, I'm one of those. But in all fairness, if you had the chance to sit and chat with someone who was 500 years old, wouldn't you want to?
I did most of the talking as you might imagine, but this was no ordinary conversation anyway. In fact, time seemed to collapse as I lay prostrate at her massive base, my fingers delicately palpating her moss shawl.
In one instant I cried out so much longing- to have her wisdom, to know her knowing and see her seeing- And so many questions, how do you do it? Keep growing and living...and how should I? And in less than one instant, do you know what she "said"?
